There have been a lot of collaborations between Nike and LA boutique Brooklyn Projects. Some of the collabs have been fairly polarizing amongst Nike SB heads. These Nike Dunk High SB Paparazzi are no exception.
The concept is the flashing cameras of paparazzi, as these released as part of a pack with some lows themed after the walk of fame in Hollywood.
These did release as an in-store-only “branded” version with more red at the top of the shoe, bonus 3M laces and more branding on the rear of the shoe, however the version I grabbed is the regular quickstrike, which just came in a regular QS box with red and black laces.
There is a textured leather type material covering most of the shoe, while the upper rear around the collar is a velvet/velour type material. Smooth leather with 3M flash detailing covers the toebox and side panels of the the shoe, topped off with a patent leather swoosh.
The sneaker has a decent fit for a more modern SB, with the suede adding some give around the toebox. I found the break in time to not be too taxing at true to size.
